Camp 4 gets New Loudspeakers for public announcements
Mr. Ngawang Dorji la of Camp no.4 House no.59 has donated a total of 10 Mikes and Loudspeakers for his camp which will help the Camp leader and his team make important announcements. Usually whenever there is a public announcement, the camp leader relays the message through group leaders (called chuk-pon) who then visits every house and delivers the message which takes time and effort. With the help of these announcement Loudspeakers, this will change. The entire camp is divided into small groups called (chu-shok) which is headed by a group leader.
Public Loudspeakers have proved useful for other Tibetan Camps in Mundgod and this will benefit Camp 4 too for as long as its use is limited to making important public announcements. Its use for other purposes than intended will create noise pollution and public nuisance which can be booked under Karnataka Police Act.
The total cost for the entire equipment is Rs. 42,702. Mr. Dorjee is a generous and a kind man and does other charity works on his own but is modest enough to not disclose it. On behalf of all Camp 4 people, we would like to thank him for his generosity and kind gesture.
